A Frog’s Tale
His companions stared blankly. “As a tadpole, I heard the legends of the long summer. One brave frog who climbed the great mountain, defeated winter, and brought the never-ending summer.”
“That is just a story,” argued Eli. “We have all heard it. Someone made it up to give hungry frog’s hope during winter.”
“Maybe. Or maybe not. Sure, it might just be a story, but it might also be our only hope.”
The Strength of a Saiyan
My parents separated when I was very young. I have no memories of my dad living with us in our house in Pennsylvania. My earliest memories of him are from my summers visiting him in Houston, and the abuse that I suffered there at the hands of the woman who would become my stepmom, Cherry.
